This is what people mean by AI is theft. Someone I know later found out an artist (16k followers) they got a commision from uses AI and now they don't have funds to commish me or another artist they like. Not only does the slop machine steal art, these scammers directly steal work from real artists

Re: finding your artstyle... I feel as though artists beat themselves up if their art style isn't the same from start to finish. I think it's important to change your art style as you grow. This idea also of "regression" also rubs me the wrong way. Our interests change, so should our artstyles.
The real useful skill as an artist is the ability to ignore crippling self-doubt.
If you got a friend that's a freak, please ensure them that you won't think less of them. They probably need some support and reassurance more than ever after. With this stupid nonsense going on, we need to be there for them.
You don't have to like the freak stuff your friends are into. Just tell them that you're there for them and you won't backstab them like a prude. A simple act of kindness is all that's needed.
Today we would like to recognize Ken Sample aka Ken Cougar. A Black man who is credited with creating and coining the term "Fursona". While drawing one of his "Exotics" Ken drew a Cougar character that looked strikingly like himself. Attendees of this conference also wanted their own characters!
I don't have to work at studio or do a major indie animation project to make an impact. My art is already impacting people in positive ways and that's all it matters to me.
