As far as I know, currently all proofs are human. Some are based on plagiarized ideas instead of properly acknowledging intellectual debt, where the novelty is that now authors may not know whom they're stealing from. Some proofs are are computer checked, which I find wonderful.

It's interesting that mathematicians now feel a strong urge to put the word "human" in front of the word "proof".

simple 1) formalize elliptic curves and algebraic ranks 2) formalize the L function over finite fields for analytic rank 3) prove the ranks are equal at s=1 4) send in proof to clay mathematics institute 5) get $1e6

I give this course's last lecture tomorrow but for technical reasons we had the end of course party today. Two students baked #AlgebraicGeometry cookies and I feel so loved.

The stacks project works well for its intended purpose, which is NOT learning stacks but collecting precise statements and proofs for people already in the know.

i love when the textbook says "give a careful proof of" instead of "prove." oh so you think my proofs are normally careless. because i'm a bad mathematician. you hate me. you want me to hurt myself

i just finished switching from onenote to obsidian before i saw this post. it was really easy to import everything. i got sick of microsoft having access to all my work. You can also import google keep! obsidian.md
