The Virginia Hip-Hop Foundation aims to celebrate and preserve the rich hip-hop culture of Virginia.

Bill was such a force for the music community. I hosted “Global A Go-Go” for him once and was terrified because I knew nothing about world music. He told me that world music was just “local music from someplace else.” I did a world music tour on my show and it’s probably one of my favorites ever.
