I'm on the roster of a casting agency for on-camera drawing/hand double roles but they also send me notices for extra work that's always things like "PTA parent" "older party guest" "barfly" "homeless" and at first I'm like "WTF? RUDE" but then I catch my reflection and I'm like "Ok, fair."

We tried playing a very similar game, "Mind The Gap" over the summer with another family (4 Gen X parents, 5 children between the ages of 10 and 19) and we all lasted about 10 minutes before we literally threw it in the trash. Somehow, this looks worse.

@seemoreevil.bsky.social covers a board game that takes on the generation wars, badly. At least it assigns proper blame for Lil Nas X. 1900hotdog.com/2026/11/nerd...

According to NBC News, 72% of the 55 million people who voted early are over 50. So if you are UNDER 50 and you don't want to read a bunch of smug news stories on Wednesday...please show up tomorrow.

Go see Wildwood. Seriously, don’t wait—go see Wildwood. What a piece of art. The love for the manual craft, for story that doesn’t hold back, for filmmaking that is not here to answer to stockholders, it weaves all through it. Incredible stuff.

Promotional photo from Laika of one of the coyote puppets from Wildwood with an animator using tweezers to position a tiny thread on the coyote's shoulder pad.

My first comic-con was in fall 1986 at a hotel in Erie, PA. Walter Koenig was the only guest-promoting Star Trek IV- and was the first famous actor I met IRL. He told great stories, he was funny and kind. I wasn't a Trekkie, I only went for the comics, but I walked away a lifelong Koenig fan. RIP
