Hi! Just another angry, scared American wanting to help rebuild a democracy where all can flourish. I like little colorful frogs too.

This is great news!!! D.C. officials are calling on incoming Democratic governors in Georgia, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio and Texas to bring their National Guard troops home. That could mean 628 troops off the streets of our nation’s capital starting in January!

Q: I’m told that Vivek Ramaswamy left you a congratulatory phone call. Have the two of you spoken? Governor-elect Amy Acton: We can’t normalize behavior like this. It was so beyond the pale, so no, I have no intention of speaking to him. Leaders’ words matter and we need to hold folks accountable.

Calley Means, who recently resigned as a senior Trump White House adviser, tells Joe Rogan: “If a company hired Susie's daughter, then that was getting a high priority...if you're a special interest and you want to get something done, the secret's out. You pay Susie's daughter.”

Everytime I hear “no political retribution” I think of our country blowing up fishing vessels in the Caribbean and then going back to kill the survivors. Until now, the republicans have owned that unspeakably evil behavior. If the democrats do nothing about it, they are collaborators.

Heather Cox Richardson has a good video on YouTube that explains a lot about what the best qualifications are for these leadership roles. It's new as of a couple of hours ago. There's a lot more to it than I realized. (I have been driven ape shit by Schumer's choices, too, just FYI.)

If at times these last two years, amidst the ceaseless onslaught of brutality and indecency, you doubted whether our Republic would survive, let yesterday’s results give you courage that the first light of dawn is on the horizon.

NEWS: Former top FBI official Douglas DePodesta has filed a bombshell lawsuit against Kash Patel, the DOJ, and other Trump officials, alleging he was forced out after refusing to go along with politically motivated prosecutions of Chicago protesters perceived as Trump’s political enemies.

James Talarico: Capitalism was an innovation — the revolutionary idea that you should be compensated for your time and work. That's not what we have today. We don't have capitalism. We have crony capitalism, where the gains go to those who can afford to buy access and politicians for control.

This is Ken Paxton's mugshot.            He was indicted on 3 felony counts for fraud. He enriched himself by $27 million in public office. He was reported to the FBI by his own staff for bribery. He was impeached by his own party for corruption. Tomorrow, we will stop him.

James Talarico on Texas officially banning THC: “Texans aren’t going to stop smoking weed and eating edibles because politicians in Austin say so. We are now telling full-grown adults how to live their lives. This is the nanny state at its worst; this is big government at its worst."

Raskin: We now have the first-person accounts of five different women saying that they were sexually assaulted by Trump. And then we have another six women, for a total of 11, who link him to the whole network of sex trafficking of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
