I've seen everyone sharing that US Dialect Quiz so I decided to make my own, much crappier, CANADIAN DIALECT QUIZ to guess where in Canada you're from

A flow chart I have created with multiple questions and the answers determine where you're from. Question 1 is do you call it a hydro bill (which then branches down to ON, QC, BC, MB) or an electric bill (which then branches down to SK, AB, NS, NB, PEI, NL) Question 2 is do you call it a cabin (BC, MB, AB, SK) cottage (ON and atlantic) camp (northern Ontario) chalet (QC) or bungalow (Cape Breton) To delineate BC from MB: do you call it dinner or supper To delineate southern Ontario rural or big city: have you heard of a stag & doe To delineate SK from AB: do you call a hoodie a bunnyhug And finally to delineate NL from the other atlantic provinces: whaddayat? (Correct answer: dis is it b'y)

lrt said mentality also ties in to the phenomenon of like. people act as if someone disliking x thing that they like as an insult to their person. if there is anything to criticize about said interest its taken as a criticism of the person who likes and enjoys it and its like. NO?

“this person is bad so their work was always bad” is also a really dangerous view to take because it leads to - unconscious or not - a bias towards “but I do like this other person’s work, ergo they must be a good person” which, as we have seen over and over, is simply not true

What happens a lot on social media is when someone (Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman now Ed Brubaker) has allegations thrown at them people tend to leap out the woodwork saying "their work was never good." That helps no one as it's irrelevant. What matters is their actions and what they did.

One of my favorite things Peter Cullen did was this very specific Toonami bumper So when Cartoon Network acquired Hamtaro, they didn't know what to do with it so they shoved this wholesome show onto Toonami, and Toonami clearly didn't know how to advertise it Peter's voice just makes it funnier

we’re on day 10 of this power outage nightmare. we’re spending money on gas daily to keep our generator running so our fridge and sump pump can run. i’m still open to any help anyone may have to offer, it’s been super stressful and even little bits help. thanks for always being supportive
