“You definitely don’t have cardiac problems, this test will come back negative. I’m not sure why you’re here. Did you eat anything different or pull a muscle?” (I had a 95 percent arterial blockage and almost died, oops. And yes, the doctor was a man.)

"There's a number of diets we can talk about that'd help manage your calorie intake." He hadn't even glanced at my chart and so had not realized I suffer a severely impaired metabolism and frequently eat one meal or less a day. He just saw a fat body and applied his whole 1 semester of nutrition.
