First time I've seen substitution into DCM actually wanted! Only 3 equiv CH2Cl2 will mitigate problems, as amines + CH2Cl2 make thermally unstable products: a pain & explosion risk. CH2O byproduct not great for further low-level imps. But very innovative! #chemsky pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
