A really funny complaint about the Zohran discount grocery store idea is that non-poor people could use it when there’s a grocery store half a mile from my grocery store that has everything cost 20% more that rich people go to because they don’t want to shop with normal people.

while i don't think i'm gonna play this since i don't have much time for multiplayer stuff these days, i think this is easily the most thoughtful and intentional of all the "do silly co-op with your friends at some goofy semicoordinated activity" games that dominate buzz rn. good on house house!

🔴🟡🔵 BIG WALK 🔴🟡🔵 Out now on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. Hooray!

It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.

This will be the US if the SCREEN Act passes. Call your Senators before August 5 and tell them that you oppose the SCREEN Act, KOSA, and the KIDS Act. Use the official lookup tool at www.senate.gov/senators/sen... to find yours by state.

my hot take about superhero media is that we absolutely need it - it is a necessity, and it needs to be formulaic. i think people who complain about 'superhero movie fatigue' have just grown out of it, and that's fine, but there is always a new generation of people who need them

seeing an uptick in people using "larper" as slang for "poser" again so I have resumed responding to anyone who does that with enthusiasm for actually participating in LARP until they stop that nonsense and maybe try a LARP or two

I'm mostly excited for the Neuromancer show because I don't have any attachment to the book. Even if it's a bad adaptation I can just watch it like

"Interesting" iCarly at computer meme but she has mirror shades built into her face and razor blades coming out from under her fingernails like Molly Millions from Neuromancer

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

The lettuce-producing Taylor Farms was linked to the widespread use of prison labor before its involvement in a cyclospora outbreak.
