DHS must immediately return Eduardo Aguirre home to Washington state. These cruel tactics to speed up deportations and remove due process must stop. Disband ICE.

I keep seeing* posts about The Lost Island of Alanna, but not its packaging, which frankly deserves to be seen. Most notable is the fact that it comes with two copies—”one for you, one for a friend.” The package is even perforated so you can tear the two sides apart.

The cover of The Lost Island of Alanna. It's a simple cardboard sleeve. The only English text is the title and "www.cherrycoke.com" in the corner. The background is an image from the game, which takes a lot of inspiration from Myst and Riven. There's a circular plate with a drawing and some text in another language engraved on it. Rivets surround the outer edge. On the rock wall behind it is some additional engraved writing. The image is very brown, with the word "Alanna" in tall, beveled red letters that give off a yellow glow.The inside of the packaging. The two halves are almost identical, with mirrored layouts. A prominent detail in the center is two thumb holes to pull out the discs from, with a deep red ring around them. Red text on either side says "one for you" and "one for a friend," with the words "two CDs" inside the ring. In the background are some documents and maps. There's also a screenshot of the game, showing a wooden bridge in an area surrounded by grass and tall cliffs. Two Cherry Coke logos also feature prominently. The text, duplicated on both sides, reads: "Discover the mysteries of a lost civilization. Explore The Lost Island of Alanna to solve the puzzle of this ancient people. But don't stop there. The pieces needed to solve these puzzles are not only found on the island. Clues await your discovery all around you. Websites, chat rooms, magazines and most of all Cherry Coke® bottles all hold valuable pieces to the mystery." Below that are the system requirements (a Windows 95 computer or a Mac with System 7.5) and the 1998 copyright.The back cover. It has a small version of the front cover in the top-left corner. There's a white square for a stamp in the top-right, and a larger white rectangle at the bottom. A printed return address reads, "6514 Jimmy Carter Blvd. Norcross, GA 30071." It's unclear if this design was meant to accomodate mailing a copy to your friend, or if the Coca Cola Company mailed out copies of the game.The CD. The left half has a deep red background with the game logo, a Cherry Coke logo, a QuickTime logo, and brief installation steps. On the right half is a map, printed in black outlines over the reflective disc surface.

really not happy with the anti-trans legislation and consistent bullshit going on in this state, i've been trying to escape for years and i got close, then the door got slammed in my face when i lost my job. seriously this sucks if you can donate or share it'd be greatly appreciated!
