Linux v0.01 turns 34 today 🎂🎉 34 years ago today, on Sep 17 1991, the first version of the Linux kernel (0.01) was published on an FTP server in Helsinki. Linus Torvalds wanted to call the operating system FreaX, but the FTP administrator didn't like the name and renamed it Linux. #linux 🐧

Swift compiler settings are a critical part of your project configuration. I took some time to take stock of the current situation, including some (light) recommendations. www.massicotte.org/blog/what-se...
What Setting Should I Use?
It's a reasonable question, so here's what I do.

Swift weekly update I’ve had a bit of time off from #Swift this week but here’s a little #app I was playing with the new TabBar #component. I loved the smoothness and easeness it provides for the content closeure too!
Completed my 2nd iOS app. Really enjoyed building this with @seanallen.bsky.social #ios #swift course. Yes there is much that could be improved like the switching list to grid mode. I’m just getting started with #Swift so watch this space 🕊️
On to my Swift #learning updates. I'm currently working on the second app that passes mock data into a Sheet Detail View. Nothing too challenging but I'm really enjoy learning #Swift. It uses a #ModelView to #StateManagement its data. This was a new concept to me coming from JS.

Attended #NSManchester for the first time yesterday. Great bunch of people! Looking forward to get to know more of them in future meet ups. There was 2 talks; the first was about in-app purchases focusing on subscriptions and the second on accessibility. #tech #swift #meetups #dev #ios #apps #mobile
I’m not sure if it’s the best or worst idea to start getting into #Swift at the end of 2025
Getting into #SwiftUI is a well needed challenge coming from the world of web apps. Its super fun and a lot easier than I thought. Well, I am only on the beginning lessons so lets see how its progresses :) Still got ideas for developing this lil weather app... #iOS #App #MobileApps #AppDevelopment
