That $366 million Elon is spending to try and convince voters that Congress should stay Republican? It's more money than McCain's 2008 campaign spent. But it's also, relative to Musk's net worth, the same as a household at the median income spending $32.
The 2026 question: Which is more powerful, money or people?
Elon Musk has spent $366 million this election cycle. Philip Bump examines what that kind of money can buy in American politics.

It’s cool, and not incredibly demoralizing, that the last ~25 years (? more?) have been an increasingly flagrant demonstration that The Rules, as we were brought up to understand them, just do not apply to a lot of people
i have resigned myself to the fact that boone is absolutely coming back. usually i hold out hope a little bit longer but the impending lockout kinda makes it stupid for the yankees to try to change course here too. next year is (hopefully) his last chance.
It's not a foolproof plan but every political debate from now on should be a Normal Guy competition. Ask them to describe grocery shopping in detail. Talk about what it's like to have a friend
it's insane that ryan mcmahon is making 16 million next season. a useless player at this point. somebody in yankees FO has to be on "Stop Brian Cashman from acquiring Rockies players" duty. he got like 2 1/2 good years out of DJLM and has been chasing that high ever since.
Not a joke: Next Yankees manager should be Shelley Duncan. Would satisfy the Yankees-lifers (former player and fairly successful Triple-A manager for the last four seasons) and has a longer coaching resume in the minors w/ other orgs going back to 2015. He also was an analytics coordinator.
kind of funny that there are justified Fire Boone posts older than this website by multiple years
Looking forward to watching the same exact season next year!
the best time to fire Aaron Boone was in 2019, the second best time is now
remember when Joe Girardi got fired because he was too mean to Gary Sanchez?
Ending the season with your best hitter on deck because your worst hitter was leading off for some reason is really something.
The question is…does anyone in the Yankees FO think it’s bad?
Mike Petriello@mikepetriello.bsky.social · last wk.That's pretty bad. I figured TB would win, but to be swept ... that's bad.
The Yankees simply have too many giant guys who cannot move or play in the field
Idk if this is a hot take but I don’t believe any fans are consciously reaching over the fence when balls are hit near them. It is annoying, yes. But people are just reacting
Cubs famous for fans not reaching out onto the field
BYCTOM@byctom.bsky.social · last wk.the world-famous new york yankees have not yet figured this technology
spencer jones swinging through a hanger right down the middle ☠️
that is the correct call imo. annoying but correct. the rays OF'er was not gonna catch that. It was going to hit off the top of the wall
