I think the most insidious thing about AI is I can't just enjoy things anymore. "Aw cute puppy-- wait, maybe it's TOO cute...AI??" "I love her makeup! I wonder if I could-- hang on. AI??" Just a constant, ever-present need for suspicion.

The year is 2035. There are three game studios left. Each one produces a game every 10 years, killing 250+ developers in the process. They all accidentally make the same game because they used genAI in preproduction. They sell 500 million units each, missing quarterly targets. Everyone is laid off.

In addition to everything else, it's just such a bad idea to use AI for placeholder text because it's juuuust okay enough to be easily missed when you go back and do your edit pass.
