I told my husband I thought this plant wasn’t part of the wildflower seeds he planted and that we should rip it out. And then this happened.

On Thursday, DH and I went shopping on the 127 Yard Sale. We picked up a few things. It was his first time, so I took it easy on him. This morning I went out by myself, intending to shop in the other direction. First stop and I found a bread maker, which is what I was looking for.
This is Hunter. He came very close to having an entire thought. Ended up being a false alarm. 13/10 (IG: itshunterthelab)
Happy birthday to @cruisinsoozan.bsky.social. We met on Twitter in 2010. People think online friendships aren’t real, but we’ve sent the same birthday card back and forth for the last 10 years. We’ve seen each other through thru good times and bad. Here’s to you, Sooz. Love ya. 🥂
Just really feeling appreciative today that Donald John Trump rushed the Covid vaccine through and took it himself and told everyone to. Good job Trump MAKING THE COVID VACCINE
Today is another one of those uncomfortable times where I find myself looking wistfully back at the Bush Administration.
I just got a notice that our local Kroger is having a grand reopening. That can only mean one thing. They’ve rearranged the shelves!! 😕

I just found out that one of the local libraries kicks off their book sale on Monday. 😍📚😍
I may be crazy, but I’m thinking about going to the Y in the morning, coming home to get a shower, then heading to physical therapy. I’d have just enough time afterwards to see a matinee of The Odyssey. The main problem would be that I’m notorious for sleeping thru fight scenes.

I got the tubular bind off done. I did have to join yarn. I must have messed up the math. Anyway, I’m happy with it, and Cami seems to approve. Still need to do the ribbing on the armholes and neck. #knitsky
When you knit a tubular cast off, how much yarn do you have for the tail? I’ve seen 3x and 4x the length of your work. #knitsky
I just read a description of a cloud of bison in Bradbury’s “Dandelion Wine,” and then I saw this:
mech.eng.world For more than a century, these massive animals were divided into small, isolated groups by roads, fences, and human cities. But recently, something amazing has happened. As artificial boundaries have been removed, the bison have started joining together again completely on their own
Reshare this if you haven’t bought a damn thing on Amazon this week
I’ll never not think of the movie “Wag the Dog” when someone mentions Albania. “the film centers on a spin doctor and a Hollywood producer who fabricate a war in Albania to distract voters from a presidential sex scandal.” Wikipedia.
To make life easier for the person checking on the cat when we travel, we added an electronic door lock. Now we’re locked in the house. How’s your day going?
I just bought yarn. I promise I have projects in mind that will use up more of my stash than add to it—once I’ve made the projects, that is.
I wonder if any other ‘76ers have yearbooks like this. This is the cover and the inside covers of my high school year book in 1976. The Bicentennial was more than a year long celebration.
I was doomscrolling and then hit this post and felt my shoulder drop and my chest relax. I’m going to go find some yarn.
Got to tell you. Later this morning I’m going to visit Blacksheep Wools in Warrington, the biggest yarn store in the UK. And, they have a sale on Excited much Watch this space… www.blacksheepwools.com 🧶 #knit
This is a kitty who is trying to hold on until her food drops in 20 mins.
My 70 yo brother is planning on getting married on Friday. This will be his 3rd marriage since his first wife died in 2021. It’s only been six months since wife #3 died. I’m not handling the news well.

When the nurse at the doctors office told me that my BP was a little high, I replied that it’s probably because my husband drove me in today. She lol’d and said that I made her day. My appt was at 7:45, so the bar is high for the rest of the patients.
I took a break in my walk to chat with a neighbor and to take a peek at his shade garden. Its lovely. After my third loop around the block, I took a closer look at the shady side of the house. I think it needs some hostas. I also plan to move some fun things to see to that side of the house.
Apparently, this is one of those days when I am not emotionally strong enough to read @hcrichardson.bsky.social. I’ll be outside, pulling weeds if you need me.
Today’s side quest has been the Linux side of my old Window box. There is a collection of music files (pdf and mp3) and they don’t match what I have in my iCloud. It a wonderful collection of music I thought I’d lost, but this will take days/weeks to sort and combine.
