If I accidentally read another piece on how everything is the Left’s fault, which doesn’t address the fact that the Left is fighting a highly unequal conflict where its opponents have control of major tech platforms, my head is going to 🤯🤯🤯🤯.

We’re in the homestretch for petition canvassing season! If you haven’t come out to canvass for Chicago DSA’s Socialist Slate candidates yet, now’s the perfect time to help us get these folks on the ballot. Visit canvass.chicagodsa.org for our interactive map of canvasses near you!

I know I talk a lot about how rampant individualism is our primal sin, but we also have to contend with smugness, an unwillingness to ever learn anything or admit error, and the tendency to treat everything like one consumer choice among many

We need more than anything the practice of community, the display of solidarity, and the idea of commitment, and that's pretty hard to achieve in a nation that has reduced literally everything to a customer service interaction

If you're in Chicago DSA, I want to see you there. If you're socialist-curious, I want to invite you. If you're a new member, I want you to get involved. If you're just looking for something to do, I want you to come. And if you only know me from social media, I want to meet you! Please come out!

‘Antisemitism isn’t systemic’ is the Left’s version of ‘the world’s oldest hatred’. An easy slogan that is in fact a sign of impoverished thought, a stubborn unwillingness to think critically & rigorously. One hyperbolizes, the other minimizes;

Btw the ADL’s ethno-fascism and the bizarre instance that anyone who says antisemitism exists has been zog-pilled, I am starting to come around to the idea that a Zohran Mamdani cool-as-a-cucumber-mint-martini antisemitism task force mightn’t be such a bad idea

it's high key crazy that an international cabal of pedophile billionaires are why SSD, RAM, GPU, and energy prices are so bad right now. genuinely bewildering. like what am I supposed to do with this information.

A note on Royce White, the former NBA player who says he's entering the WNBA draft, a judge ruled he abused his wife and teenage son in an April court order and determined he could not have contact with either of them for 50 years. Great way to "protect women's sports" transphobes.

Transphobes will embrace and ally themselves with every pedophile, rapist, and domestic abuser because they fundamentally agree completely with them about bodily autonomy and consent Transphobes are unable to *not* see a huge obviously abusive piece of shit and immediately support them.

Both camps succumb to negative polarization & hyper-online brain rot. Of course, the issue of antisemitism is overdetermined today by Israel/Palestine. But at root this is a municipal hate crimes prevention strategy. Nobody benefits by obsessively reading it through the I/P prism

It's funny that one loud camp is (predictably) saying that Mamdani’s antisemitism plan is not Zionist enough, while another is claiming it's (somehow) too Zionist. What both overlook, because neither really care, is the project of fighting antisemitism in NYC on its own terms

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol and other executives make millions each year while denying pay raises, just cause protections, and safe work scheduling to employees whose labor makes Starbucks.
