Amnesty UK have apologised to JK Rowling for rightfully calling out her anti-rights rhetoric. Shame on them. A human rights organisation should not cave to pressure from billionaires, especially those who wish to make supporting human rights a terrorist offence. xoxo BASH BACK

We are disappointed to see Amnesty withdraw their report on transphobia after legal threats from JK Rowling. This is further proof we cannot rely on 'allies' to fight for US, Our work has been so effective that Rowling has called for us to be proscribed as a terrorist group, but we're still fighting. We’ll only win trans liberation by fighting for it ourselves. Don't wait for 'allies' to step in and save us; take action now!

Make no mistake, what the "gender critical" movement wanted was to force Féile Belfast into compliance through lawfare. That is their modus operandi when it comes to dealing with any org that shows a scintilla of support for trans people. They lost this time, and they're struggling to cope with it.

I am disappointed but not surprised that the men of the Feile team took to social media to gloat and crow about their intransigence. There was no win for them and representing it that way is disingenuous. WRN wished for Feile to WANT to reinstate our panel discussion rather than be FORCED to. However despite cancelling our event, Feile provided us with a platform far bigger than merely west Belfast to get our message heard across Northern Ireland and further afield. Conversations about whether women have the right to speak openly and honestly, about whether a publicly funded organisation - regardless of its origins - should ensure it represents ALL lawful viewpoints and experiences, and demonstrate for the world to see just exactly who is trying to marginalise who here. Who knew women were such a threat! Respect, rights and reality - I’ll buy you a dictionary.

The application for a judicial review of the Pathways (Puberty Blocker) trial was rejected. However, I think the trial is fundamentally flawed based on the biased crap that is the Cass review. In years to come, Cass will be spoken of in the same breath as Wakefield (said vaccines cause autism.)
