I am very into The Ghost In The Shell so far. The animation is gorgeous, so many frames are beautiful practically perfect recreations of the original manga art, and it retains the manga's *humor*, which was always a cherished aspect of it for me. ... I hope we get cat sisters. :)

Just a reminder for all of my less media literate friends out there that the death of the author is an interpretive exercise designed to promote textual reading. It is not an excuse to support authors who are shitty people, and it is in fact invalidated by *the voice of the author* in contradiction.
