I always love chatting with Tim and this seemingly random issue gave us a lot to hash out! If you've never read West Coast Avengers, the #1 thing you must understand is that it is a very odd book.

Outcasters: Under Siege Episode 6 directory.libsyn.com/episode/inde... @timprice17.bsky.social and special guest host @saracentury.bsky.social discuss West Coast Avengers #16 (1986), cat tails, mental health, and the X-Men which is only natural on an Avengers podcast.

I'm switching back to a flip phone & taking a LONG social media break starting end of August (the last item of my New Year's Resolutions from January). I have a lot of projects coming up so it's daunting to go partially offline, but it's never going to be less daunting so might as well go for it.

“but how could we pay for it?” idk why not start with some of the $2+ billion (not including settlements, unbudgeted overtime, equipment…) chicago pays for cops every single year? police sucks up so many resources and are never asked to justify their existence, unlike schools or public health.

not piling on the usa today editorial about mamdani’s grocery stores that was making the rounds yesterday but this idea of making government services more “efficient” or “profitable” is really an argument for neoliberal privatization and austerity that has dominated the 2000s

Me, listening to you tell your story. Me, absorbing, considering, relating, pondering. Me, waiting exactly one beat before I reply, "you know, that reminds me of an episode of Xena..."

To recap, I posted about being harassed as a vegetarian growing up a couple hours ago, and thus far I've been called hyperbolic, compared to a cult member, told that I'm unhealthy, and accused of narcissism.

I went vegetarian at 14 and had people trying to sneak meat into my food, calling me slurs, waving pieces of ham in my face, telling me I was going to die from poor health, refusing to provide options at meals, etc, but to this day I say I'm vegan and people are like "omg, so you're JUDGY."

I used to be like, "Claremont I am not reading these X-Men captions that are just you and John Byrne or you and the editors or whoever basically arguing on the page" but now I'm like... I am going to read those parts.

In my latest, I talk with @silkys13.bsky.social about the struggle against ICE. How are the government’s tactics shifting, and how must we respond? We also discuss the tremendous victory of fighting off the warehouse model for the regime’s concentration camps, and where the fight goes from here.

The Fight Against ICE Has Entered a New Phase

I’ve been in the process of moving for about 6 months now, and unpacking these old paintings I did gives me appreciation for the time I used to have to delegate to other mediums! 😭💖 I think I painted the red head for a class in Toronto and the other two later years, but I am sure these 10 yrs+ old?
