"Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it."--Brian W. Kernighan

puppy Sudo says happy Friday

I present Snorlax's Glow Up, my favorite needle felting before/after #needlefelting

a blob of needle felted white wool sculpted into the vague shape of a Snorlax sits on a desk. blue wool half-covers its back like a coat, and some unstabbed blue wool on its head gives the appearance of a ridiculous haircut.

a needle-felted wool Snorlax sits on a wooden desk with its arms out to the side, smiling at the camera with its eyes closed

a needle-felted wool Snorlax lays on its back on a wooden desk, showing off his feet (I worked really hard on them okay) and round belly

time for my fashionably(?) late intro post: • I'm a Laravel/PHP dev who stabs wool for fun • I enjoy art of all kinds, bad puns, and good shitposts • obsessed with animals, especially dogs • overly concerned with privacy/security • useless superpowers include knowing regex and typing kinda fast

An interesting way to help people visualize what a ruin used to be.

Old ruin viewed through a glass frame with the original outlines of the building etched onto the glass

Posting this again because a lot of people said they found it helpful! Guide to ALT text: www.perkins.org/resource/how...

ALT text copied and pasted from the linked website: An infographic titled “How To Write Alt Text” featuring a photo of a capybara. Parts of alt text are divided by color, including identify who, expression, description, colour, and interesting features. The finished description reads “A capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa. Yellow yuzu fruits are floating in the water, and one is balanced on the top of the capybara’s head.”

this is one of my favorite custom feeds, Quiet Posters it shows you posts from people you follow who don't post that much! so it surfaces friends' posts that might otherwise get drowned out in the Following feed (which is reverse chronological) 🤗

here's a peek into the ugly phase of needle felting vs final product 🐙 #arttrain

a wool pad used for needle felting sits on a desk, with a blob of white wool shaped like an octopus haphazardly arranged on top with 8 blobs for legs. an unfinished needle-felted white hamster holding its own ears is visible in the background.

a dark green needle-felted wool octopus with black eyes rimmed with light green. it has 8 legs, each with matching light green suckers visible underneath.

QRP Show me your art's ugly phase vs final! #arttrain Everyone's showing off these nice sketches and gorgeous finals, I wanna see the art that's basically the middle face in the Animorphs transformation...

did you know 🤓☝️: if you have a username with the default bsky.social suffix, type it into your browser and it'll link directly to your bluesky profile! so if you're sharing your profile link on other sites, you can just type it directly like so: aoc.bsky.social (no @ needed!)

felt cute, might delete later

A dog with brown and black fur lays on a blanket with a sunny window behind her. Her nose is pointed toward the camera.

A brown-eyed dog cocks her head to the side with one ear folded back, lying on the couch with a red-and-black-checkered blanket over her back.

it’s so crazy how they check if you can drive one time as a teenager and then just take your word for it for the rest of your life
