Just read an article on the BBC saying you should probably give about £10 to an end of year collection for your child's teacher. As a teacher, good grief no. If you want to, great, but don't feel in any way obliged. We get paid and if your child cares about learning that's a gift in itself.

Finished watching Sinners 10 minutes before the Oscars started. I'm already outraged that it didn't win best supporting actress but even more so that it wasn't even beaten by one battle after another. Some bullshit going on there.
I know Assassin's Creed games are a formula and everything, but you've got to respect the Shadows devs making their two protagonists a young woman and a black samurai. Superb stuff. And I love the formula.
Started playing TR-49 and it has really got its hooks into me. Compelling in the way that Obra Dinn was and just as perfectly pitched. I can't see myself playing anything else until I've unravelled the mystery.

My favourite thing about Bluesky is that it offers a very direct way to tell artists and authors that you love their work. That's always worth doing. If you don't love someone's work you should just save yourself the effort and keep quiet.
