I’m not a “Europe is hopelessly poor” person nor a “GDP explains everything” person but tbh whenever I see someone complain that EVERYTHING in MODERN LIFE has gotten MONOTONICALLY WORSE there‘s a good chance they’re in the UK which has in fact been in and out of recession for 10 years

I've done a bit of a Wikiwalk about this and had the amazing revelation that one of the French agents behind the bombing later became a wildlife photographer and had one of his photos published under a pseudonym in a calendar for...Greenpeace. Most of them had been sold by the time they realised.

Here's a new one I created as a demonstration for The Broadmoor Galleries' "9th Annual Broadmoor Art Experience" a few weeks ago. The event is held at The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs in July and includes artists from all over the country. "Just Chillin'," oil, 16"x12".

2/2 The close-ups of my wildfire embroidery. I tried to get a glowing effect with the fire and embers with colours I chose. I cut up my favourite cardigan for the rough charred ground as it was the only fabric I had with the right colour and texture but its not needed in this heat anyway...
