If you're caring for your community members & making sure they're solid, you are fighting fascism, so give yourself credit.
I think the bias here is in assuming that an unsophisticated politics can’t also be tightly held by its owner. Rogan may not imagine himself as a part of an ideological project or philosophical tradition, but that does not mean his beliefs aren’t paired with deep conviction.
