One thing to consider is that people currently can't navigate the system - I'm a specialist nurse who teaches and I struggled to get care sorted for my mother in law, until the manager of her flat unit pointed me to a local woman. Now, she has the funds to pay for it so it made it easier...

Good thread here. I'd say that so little thought has been given to the social care workforce in the national debate because so few people can really picture what is demanded of that workforce, hence dreams a new national sevice will sort everything being a simple mental shortcut to 'do something'

A huge edition, HUGE. The lovely Madeleine Moore is standing and you should most certainly vote for her. I love the opposition to the vicious attacks on trans folks - making it impossible for them to exist is awful. Good updates on voting, politics and other stuff.

Got my thesis in, did a practice viva in which I did not feel horrible and exhausted. There is a lot going in my personal life so I'm proud I am holding all of the glass balls in the air. Some rubber ones bouncing around and the concrete ones can stay on the floor.
