I really should’ve been diagnosed earlier. Sadly a large part of the reason I wasn’t was because of stereotypes of what intelligence looks like in autistics even within the medical community.
I learned most of my social cues from memes, actually. For some strange reason, memes made it so much easier to understand social culture. Maybe it was because everything was presented in a more exaggerated, concrete way.
