Erotic art has A) been artistic subject matter in all time periods and cultures, and B) Erotic artists are ALWAYS at the front of threats against the arts.
How hard is it to understand "giving money to bigots is an act of bigotry"? Being secretly a bigot doesn't make you less bigoted, just less vocal.
I keep thinking of a friend who felt they were too good to read D&D paperbacks trying to tell me that the Harry Potter books were good reading for adults as well as children. In hindsightbfriend did a lot personal insight avoidance.
