kinda weird but I really have been missing being 18-19, or even just my early 20s. Shit kinda real now, that time was nice. I guess I'm thinking about my job/future and not sure if I want to continue my career or try school
LRT is actually very true, its hard to remember sometimes that art is really just a hobby for most people. I still think seeking improvement is extremely important-- but for myself mainly. thats not always the case for others. I just like to learn/grow and thats fine. it's not a race, either.
i occasionally see the sentiment that if you aren't attempting to improve at art you're a piece of shit who shouldn't be drawing at all. i think art is one of the only hobbies where people act this way. imagine if skiiers said this to ppl having fun and falling over on the bunny slopes

I really hate the “I don’t owe anyone anything” mentality because we actually owe each other and this planet a lot. You don’t have to be selfless all the time or burn yourself out but you should be kind and helpful and compassionate to the best of your ability. We need to care about each other more
