Any cool international devs (preferably with a game released in the last year or so) interested in visiting Melbourne this year (for the small price of doing a short talk??)

So we're on this cruise, and today we're at Santorini, and after doing some volcano hiking we went into the town of Fira, which is on the top of the caldera cliff side and requires either a hike up the snaking walking path, or a ride up the cable car, which is next to it (on the left in the pic).

Oh hey, yep, basically same conclusions we came to. Like even if you're willing to write off the ethical stuff, there's a bunch of super boring business reasons to not go anywhere near it. Including "it appears to erode your abilities even if you're aware of that risk going in." That's uh. Um. No.

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

My eyes are great, I got myopia on one eye, hypermetropia on the other, astigmatism on both but with completely different values, and presbyopia on both because haha I'm old just pile it on why the fuck not. I just got some daily contacts that fix ALL OF IT and I can... see? This is very odd.
