i fucking love backcountry camping and i fucking love my kayak but i fucking hate portages. this weekend i did manage to carry my own damn kayak over the easiest portage in Algonquin. it sucked but it's still an achievement.

caught the first game of this double header and anyone missing the pwhl should try it out. the rules are slightly different and that small ice makes things happen _fast_. my Ontario public school system French was sufficient to understand what was going on.

hoping the speed of #pwhl roster changes will slow after this off season. growing the league by six teams in two years is a lot and it's exciting. hopefully fans can lock in on some favorites that stick around for a while now without worrying about losing them all to expansion.

Seattle being second in the pwhl draft is an odd choice. gold plan makes Vancouver first, i get that, and you gotta put the expansion teams somewhere, so all in a block makes sense, too. i would like to know how Seattle snuck into that second spot, what were those discussions like?
my wife reminded me that my pwhl team lost most of it's rookies last year to expansion, and i still loved the team this season. it just gave me faves to watch on other teams. that being said, please stop taking players from the Victoire, there's still a couple players left on the Torrent.

After the expected success of both Vancouver and Seattle didn’t pan out, it’s understandable that fans were cautious with expansion this time around. But my goodness is Hamilton knocking it out of the park. If I’m a fan, I’m over the moon with the team’s additions and potential.

I really hope posters talking about 'big paydays' for the #pwhl players aren't doing so with spite. these athletes deserve to make bank, not simply barely a living wage. As a mediocre software developer, I should not be making more money than Poulin.
