mechsploitation is fascinating to me because it doesn't actually exist outside of fic but it's become popular enough in fic that people are getting into like gundam or eva seeking mechsploitation content, unaware that the entire "genre" emerges entirely from armored core 6 porn

learned from making this post is that for some people "mechsploitation" is literally anytime any woman or person is manipulated in a mech and that i am a clueless tourist who doesn't know about four murasame. my response is that the machine as a metaphor for structures of violence is called "mecha"

this is what i'm talking about. you need to be paying attention to this, since it will change the video games industry very shortly. this reddit vid from 19 days ago (src: kent1146) shows steamos on an ayn thor, launching+playing BALL X PIT w no problems. you can get a compatible thor for ~$350.

someday people will understand that 99% of the issue is that in the majority of cases using linux, you can't just go to a website, click the download button, double click on the program you downloaded, and it's done like have you tried pirating a game on linux? worse even, *modding* one?
