Me: wtf claude. i asked you to resolve the error.
the error’s not because the comment needed to be changed

Raggedy ass Claude: You're right, I only patched the comment instead of fixing the actual
detect - that's not what “resolve the error" means. Let me look harder for a real fix.

I’m reading Dark Matter & fascinated/confused by the explanation of Schrodinger’s cat theory? Like it makes sense that there are an infinite number of *future* possibilities (cat has equal future potential of being dead/alive), & the *future* gets locked in at the moment when someone observes it

My 8yo was pretending to be a cop and I was a villain. Once he caught me, he asked for my consent to arrest me. I politely declined. He said “aww, okay” and moved on.

Someone saw a post that I wrote about how inauthentic AI messages are and sent me an inauthentic message written by AI that opens with a reference to said post, asking for my business 🥀

Al and Authenticity Struggles
Hey Shaundai,
I saw your post about feeling let down by Al and how it's just weights and biases pretending to understand. It's so real, I've been there too. Thanks for sharing such an honest take.
From what I've seen, the depth of your work feels like the kind of insight that belongs in a book - not for attention, but as something others in the field can learn from and return to.
This might be totally out of the blue, but have you started working on a book?
I help product professionals and other leaders turn their content into finished, credible books that reflect their real voice.
Is that a direction you're moving toward now?

People mispronounce and misspell my name all the time, so when someone asks for my name at a restaurant or Starbucks or whatever I just give them my nickname (Dai) But now I have them spell it phonetically bc one time someone yelled “DIE!!! 💀🔪” instead of “Day ☀️🌺” at me and I jumped sooo high 😅

Which of you intelligent folks are creating or consuming content about using AI responsibly in interviews and schools? My sister is doing research for her grad school and is looking for some resources!

Me: Two questions:
Can you tell me more about what they want to understand about Al? There are a bunch of different domains within Al and I want to point you to something relevant
Does it have to be a book? I feel like Al is changing sooo fast that the contents of a book might be outdated by the time it gets delivered lol. An online course might be a better option
Sister: yes! so one thing that was communicated to me already was that this year, as they were reviewing admissions applications, some of the personal statements were a little too perfect (in syntax, language, etc.) my guess is, they want to understand how grad-level students might be using it and strategies to embrace it responsibly.
i don't know if it has to be a book. and that really was my first thought - as soon as you publish the book about it, it's already gone through 3 new iterations. but if you do have online course recommendations, that would be helpful

My 8yo niece went to a bday party she was NOT invited to (it was my son’s bff) at a bowling alley This girl figured out how to hack the score board, adjusted her score to 190, & set all of the boy’s (again, boys she does NOT know) scores to 20-40 Then cackled as she retold the story 😂 So proud 🥹

My mom came by yesterday to bring some food she made me We got on the topic of the roughest year in her young-adult life, and she was like “we have to be grateful that XYZ happened, because you wouldn’t be here if I didn’t go through that” And then she 1/2

A big observation as I’m learning more Java (coming from a JavaScript background) At first glance, a lot of Java looks familiar! .filter, .map, Array…I was so ready to just jump in because they look like the methods I’ve BEEN using on the front end But no. no. NO. They are NOT the same.

I’m reading a book about happiness and a point about social media’s impact on happiness stood out to me: People whose algorithms contain a lot of negative content are much more likely to post negative content AND think negative thoughts (and vice versa) Since your algorithm is influenced by the

I’m learning Java for work, which is amazing for several reasons: (1) I’m getting paid to do something I was already doing in my spare time (2) I’m getting the opportunity to *apply* the knowledge to actual enterprise projects, which solidifies the new concepts for me

I believe that the ability to be openly vulnerable is such a powerful trait that draws in some of the best, strongest connections At the same time though, it’s so tricky to strike a balance as an underrepresented minority One part of me has to appear infallible, because i have to repair cracks in

Yesterday was my last day at Deno. From today, I'll be cheering the talented team on from outside the org. This also means that I'm now considering my next move in the DX/DevRel/Technical marketing space.

Last night my 8yo & I made a cozy blanket-pillow-and-stuffed-animal fort to read books and eat snacks in. I planned to read kids’ books, but I brought my own book just in case he wanted to read separate things cuddled up together (1/4)
