Appreciate the kind words. We reported the theft to our bank and will wait to hear back tomorrow. Escalated a ticket with the company they were impersonating to see what they can do. Won't really know of we will get our money back until sometime next week. I suspect not, but worth the time.

If you want to know how my Sunday is going... Scammers stole $1000 from us and stole an account and probably stole more out of that account. We were able to turn off all cards associated with that account so they can't transfer more. I might lose it today.

This is a friendly reminder that a Chromium plugin exists which lets you block videos and/or entire channels so they never show up in your searches or recs on YouTube. It's called Blocktube. If I could put this and an ad blocker on my Roku TV, life would be near perfect.

It disturbs me how quickly people infantilize 20 somethings. Of course there are things they haven't learned about the world, but they are not literal children. You cannot simultaneous say to treat them as the adults they are while also saying they do not have the responsibilities of an adult.

*standing up on a plane* Fear of cannibals is an imperialist myth to justify dehumanizing indigenous populations but also a remarkable irony given that almost all empires follow to a religion whose central ceremony involves the literal or figurative consumption of a man who was also a god.

*standing up on plane* In the 1954 film Gojira, Godzilla is de-atomized down to the bone. In Godzilla Raids Again, a second Godzilla is discovered and survives the film, seemingly going to to star in the sequels, despite everyone talking like there's only ever been one Godzilla, which can only mean

Generally, I think if your goal is to get people to stop asking you what happened with a thing you previously made waves about with vague statements, not talking about it and instead issuing more vague statements with no specifics to clear the air is the opposite of what you should do.

I have too much work to do this week to edit videos, but I've got a short coming up of a moment from last night's stream that sent me reeling with tearful laughter. Rewatched it. Utterly ridiculous. Probably only funny to me, but I'm still gonna do something with it later :D

The broader danger goes far beyond Fauci. Scientists and career public servants are being warned that if their professional judgment conflicts with the political needs of a president, they may face years of investigations, public attacks, and threats of prosecution. www.inquirer.com/opinion/comm...

Congressional questioning of Anthony Fauci isn’t a good-faith effort, it is political persecution | Opinion

There is a difference between oversight and a trap. An honest investigation begins with open-minded questions. This one began with a verdict. And the broader danger goes far beyond Fauci.

Any cucumber growers on here? Has anyone experience plants throwing up new female flowers but each one is very tiny and gets abandoned by the plant before the flower opens? I'm guessing this is stress from the heatwave still reverberating in the plant, but just curious of other's thoughts.

I literally do not care about whatever controversy is circulating around Nolan's Odyssey unless it involves some horrible actual crime committed by the people involved. Whatever culture war nonsense is in vogue today can disappear into the void.
