Everyone's forgotten about this bc they've invented 800 other reasons why she lost, but this really was the wildly unserious focus of a massive chunk of the National Conversation™️ in Aug/Sep 2024. When you think about what Trump has done since Jan 2025, this becomes not only laughable, but obscene.

R.I.P. David “David Z.” Rivkin, a key figure in the Minneapolis Sound. He had a heavy hand in such hits as Kiss by Prince and the Revolution, and She Drives Me Crazy by Fine Young Cannibals. He was also in the group Lipps Inc, best known for Funkytown. Bobby Z. of The Revolution is his brother.

The 1 thing I'd like to argue against is EW's assertion that she's "hardly punching down" by going hard at Nolan. True, but she is punching laterally. She and Nolan are both serious artists in different media, engaged by the same material. I wish I saw more of a baseline of respect. But...shrug. >
