I started a medication that in theory, if it works, could return my heart to a normal rate. I’m still taking beta blockers. I don’t know if this is a concern because no one is following this. Not the dr who prescribed it, not my cardiologist, not my GP. Just me and my gc girlies against the world.
Where do we go for acute issues that are caused by our chronic illnesses? The ER doesn’t manage our issues. Well neither do our doctors. So where do we go. What do we do? We sit at home and hope it’s not fatal. I would love @susanholtnb.bsky.social and the minister of health to weigh in on this.

@susanholtnb.bsky.social The rollout of the changes to central booking at Horizon have been SO poorly done. It took me TWO. MONTHS. to get all the tests I needed after I developed what appeared to be inflammatory breast cancer. It took multiple weeks to get an ultrasound and mammogram
You know what I don’t have spare cash for? Going to Fredericton twice because Horizon didn’t have the foresight to anticipate literally any issue with this self booking system. This is so frustrating.
There was no way for me to know this until I showed up … for my appointment at 2:15. There seems to be an issue with no one but you and your dr seeing the req before you actually show up. I am 1/5th of a single income (5 digit number) household with 2 disabled members.
