Doing the math for Wishmaker Jirachi, you'd need to do about 40 encounters a day to even hit odds by the Bank shutdown date. With optimal play with the save corruption method, each reset takes about a minute and a half. So that's an hour every single day. I... don't think that's doable for me tbh. 😭

If we 're getting hyped about potential Hoenn games being ported to the Switch, can we start using this image again?

Well, now that my bonus disc has finally fulfilled its lifelong purpose, I think it might be time to challenge it to dispense a different kind of Jirachi. One with a different color, mayhaps. 🤔

This is exactly why the all-digital, cloud-based future sucks, man. You can still transfer Pokemon from gen 3 to 4 more than 20 years later, and you'll be able to continue to do it until the hardware itself fails untold decades from now. But gen 7 to 8? Impossible after less than 10 years.

This is about to be much more of a flex come February 27th

I needed a Mega Dragonite for my team in Champions so I transferred Shadow Dragonite all the way up from XD solely for the flex of having the exclusive "the Triumphant" title for it

All right, so as far as the pre-Switch exclusive shiny hunts go - I already have Mew and Darkrai, and I have the Shaymin event in BDSP so that's not a concern. I feel pretty confident Crystal will be re-released on Switch at some point so Celebi will be lowest priority.

Man. It was a pipe dream, but I was really hoping they would do some kind of final update to allow Bank to work completely offline with local storage. I'm sure there will be homebrew solutions, but until Switch hacking becomes more accessible, it'll be out of reach for most people. Bleh...

Serebii Update: Pokémon Bank will stop working and being able to connect to Pokémon HOME on February 26th 2027. Pokémon will not be able to stored any longer in it and it cannot connect to Pokémon HOME after that day serebii.net
