My brother, a great sales guy and marketer - who always looked up to coders, now has a skill that every vibe coder seems to lack: listening and speaking to customers with a smile. His response to me saying his skill is now 10x valuable: "Who would have thought of that, not me!"

The market is flooding with vibe coded apps. But coding the software is only one step of successfully running software in production. So it's fine for personal use, but not so much for clients or even for in-company use. The flood wil stop as soon as people realize this.

If you cut all vanity metrics, which ones survive? MRR, NPS, CHURN?

Vibe coding is basically pressing YES or 1 every now and then while I do other things. In the meantime my brainpower decreases with every click.

Since now everybody and their dog can make a web app, validating is more important than ever. AI is not able to do that. So pick up the phone and start dialing (I am saying this to myself while staring at VS Code)
