If somebody came to one of my writing classes with a novel about a “24-year-old wunderkind” on Wall Street called Leopold Aschenbrenner who graduated from Columbia aged 19, looked and dressed exactly like this, and crashed the stock market, I’d advise them to tone it down a bit

He, doitsche (und angelsäschsische)Loite: ihr wisst es, ich weiss es. Wenn ihr 'Internet' sagt/schreibt, dann ist es immer eine Metonymie (rhetorische Figur). Weshalb nennt ihr das Ding nicht einfach www, the old web oder ähnliches? Das wirkliche Internet besteht nur aus Netzwerkprotokollen 🤷‍♂️

And bypassing is a misnomer: it's rather about reading or even manipulating what sits on top. The article outlines ways to mitigate this, but alas, not for the normal home user.

Wenn ich Ukrainer wäre, wäre ich vorsichtig. Die Waffen reichen ja bis nach Moskau und man weiß nicht, wie Russland dann reagiert. Aus ukrainischer Sicht wäre das Eskalationsrisiko zu groß.
