I do think at some point the indie merch community will have to contend with how fanart is not a safe way to build a brand, and how fanart merch is only allowed by grace of god (meaning companies turning a blind eye.) We all dislike corporations, but that doesn’t protect you from their legal teams

Artwork for chapter 23 of my Comic "Love Melodies".

The page is sectioned into 3 panels and shows everyone preparing for the culture festival.
The top panel shows Mono, Mero and Mao rehearsing for their play.

The middle panel has Inoru trying to balance a soda can and pen case on books to practice serving, while Kiku and Zai examine the Menu card, with Zai chuckling in Inoru's direction.

The bottom panel shows Hazuki, Forte and Rory during the fitting for their fashion show. Hazuki laces up Forte's corset while Rory seems not very enthusiastic about the tightness of his outfit's collar.

Pop art elements such as stars, stripes, and other geometric shapes decorate everything around the panels.

Portrait of Inoru. The crop shows more than the original; the facial anatomy and the hair are a lot more structured. The colors are more saturated, and have better values.

TBH, I think this is how I envisioned that picture back then, but my skill was lacking.

Like what the heck, why is the ear so big XDD The expression also doesn't quite suit Inoru. He is rather a person who smiles without showing teeth. And what's going on with his hair? It's a total mess.. aaaugh. XDDD
