A juvenile robin was interested in what I was up to during my brief visit to my friend's little allotment this early evening 😍

Another almost front-on portrait photo looking down on the robin whose grey flecks on its head and down its orange "bib" show it to be a youngster.

Before zooming in on the little fellow. It didn't seem to mind the fresh horse manure I had just emptied on to the old raspberry bed 🙂

A colourful bird perches vertically on a mossy branch. It has a distinctive dark brown-and-pinkish head with white eye-rings, a pale beak, a golden-olive chest, and vibrant green-and-blue wings.

Clue: I'm a Central and South American forest dweller named after my dusky, chocolate-toned crown.

Fun Fact: Despite their bright green and blue body feathers, these birds are surprisingly tricky to spot in the wild—they tend to feed quietly high up in the dense rainforest canopy! Plus, when they take flight, they show off bright red underwing "armpits" that are hidden while perched.

Conservation status: Least Concern (IUCN 3.1)

Five different coloured posca pencils half over a page of doodled flowers. The pencil colours are light green, dark green, yellow, deep pink and blue. The flowers are hand drawn onto sketch paper. They are a variety of round shapes using the different colours and have light or dark green stems and leaves. There are little insects buzzing around the flowers.

The picture is hand drawn. It is a Giraffe's face. The picture is showing just the right hand side of the face. A lilac-purple background has been shaded in to the right. The Giraffe is yellow-brown with darker brown patches and a mid-brown mane of short hair down it's neck. It has a black-grey nostril and a large white eye with black outline.

View down the valley next to Honister Slate Mine. There is a stone silhouette figure (sculpture looks like a narrow head and shoulders on a narrow plinth). It is perched on a slate wall and sited between the two hills, as though looking at the view. The sky is light grey and moody looking. The hills either side have brown grasses and rock up them.
