I did a little back-of-the-envelope math yesterday, when I posted a video to three sites, two that are heavily censoring my kind of content, and one that promises never to do that. The results shocked even me. UpScrolled is the Bluesky of video apps!

So many people left TikTok for (indie, Palestinian-owned) UpScrolled yesterday that their servers crashed, and that makes me really happy. Come on over to UpScrolled! (And check back later if the servers are down, lol, growing pains!)

Hi hello the Venezuela stuff is entirely about oil, both in Venezuela and in Guyana (where Venezuela is laying claim to the oil in what is now Exxon’s largest oilfield, which Chevron has also bought into). It is the bidding of US oil majors and it’s not remotely subtle.

We raised $30,000+ this week in direct aid for 10 families in Gaza City who needed transportation south and funds for tents and essentials, due to the IOF invasion. Help us double that amount to help 10 more families evacuate, including two pregnant moms: chuffed.org/project/gaza...

Gaza City faces invasion. Every $3k raised in this fund goes directly to a family so they can arrange transportation south and the purchase of a tent. If you read GENOCIDE BAD, you’ll want to know that baby Elena is one of these families. Please donate & share widely: chuffed.org/project/gaza...

@simkern.bsky.social spoke to Mother Jones about their latest book, "Genocide Bad." "This is where being Jewish is relevant to me. I just feel like “genocide bad” was so drilled into me from a young age. It was the first historical political lesson that I was ever taught."

This is so important! Exceptionalizing the Holocaust keeps us from understanding how it happened and preventing more atrocities from happening.
