My uni. So far, two of my three days of classes for my postgrad degree this semester will be instructor-less for as long as management refuses to take compulsory redundancies off the table. I stand with the unions, even as I'm terrified for what it'll mean for my degree and student visa.

@unisoninhe.bsky.social members at @glasgowcaledonian.bsky.social out on strike against needless compulsory redundancies today. £90 million in reserves and growing yet! At ACAS management refused to utilise reserves to avoid compulsory cuts and to work with unions jointly. @unison.org.uk

Last week, more than 20,000 council workers in Glasgow were threatened with dismissal in the biggest single act of fire and rehire in British history. ‘No worker… should ever again be told to accept worse terms and conditions or lose your job’ Louise Noble, UNISON Scotland tells Labour conference.

Solidarity with UNISON members at @glasgowcaledonian.bsky.social on strike today. With reserves of £90m and growing, compulsory redundancies are a choice, not a necessity. Employers should be working with unions to protect jobs, not pushing through cuts. #Solidarity 💜✊

💜💚 Positive meeting tonight with our ODP members as we begin the Agenda for Change re-banding process. Great to have Bill Kilvington and Mike Donnellon from the College of ODPs joining us and supporting the process. Making sure ODP roles are recognised and valued ✊

"To me, they should be the best paid people in society, not the worst" Today PM Andy Burnham paid tribute to care workers and said he'd work with others to reform social care. UNISON is calling for the Fair Pay Agreement in care, a National Care Service, and a fair visa system

🚨The UK-US pharma deal with Trump will cost 229,000 lives in England. The deal is so bad that the editor of the British Medical Journal says it suggests "We’ll kill our poor people to make your rich companies richer”. Dear Andy Burnham, tear up this deal as Prime Minister. Thank you.

A graphic with pictures of Trump and Burnham, a Guardian headline screenshot that says "US-UK drug deal would result in 229,000 excess deaths in England, analysis suggests", and a demand that Andy Burnham "show Trump the red card and tear up the pharma deal"

In Glasgow today tutoring the New Delegates Conference Course 💜💚 Always important to ensure Scottish delegates understand how conference works and feel confident participating on behalf of their branches and members ✊
