Yes, this, a million times over and with the addition that I (and so many others) also draw to think. They are creative processes through which meaning, realisation, revelation, understanding, conclusions, resolutions and future plans are formed.

It's cliché, but I do indeed write to think. However closely and precisely I plan my writing, however much I study, analyse and reflect in advance, it's the process of writing itself which reveals meaning to me. It can be hard. But it's a gift, and the insight is in the process itself. #AI #writing

Anyway. I am making a thing. Am waiting on the loan of a very specific tool to finish it. But @andywoodturner.bsky.social gave me the bog oak years ago. ❤️

It strikes me that much of my creativity has more meaning or is possible because of sweet men. Wood offcuts, tools, inspiration. The source of these things is so often from men generous with their knowledge and materials.
