The Milo stuff is the perfect picture of fascism. You think you're protected because you go as big as you can on racism, you spend years harassing the movement's perceived enemies, you even disavow your own sexuality. ICE has fallen out of the headlines but July marked the largest number of migrant detentions ever on record. Five migrants have died in ICE custody in the last two months. It's also currently impossible to legally migrate to this country, as 100% of visa applications have been paused.

This would be an important clarification if HHS actually clarified anything. They don't have the authority to make this rule so even if they do nothing with those 30,000 comments they will find themselves back in court. Meanwhile, kids around the country are being denied care. It must resume now!
Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com · 2mo agoHHS is reporting that it is NOT withdrawing the anti-trans medicaid/medicare rule. However, there are signs that it has deprioritized the rule, and it may never be finalized. Hospitals MUST return to providing care, this rule is not hanging is not in effect and may be indefinitely delayed.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
