I’m trying to decide if I want to add a third POV to To Break A Curse. In part bc the current draft isn’t even 30k words, but also bc I think it would be interesting to explore the magical aspect more and see how badly Tamber panics after realizing she may have accidentally killed someone. 💀
I can’t go through my work day without seeing ai garbage, but god I wish I could not using it is super easy, though

The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

The only *guaranteed* piece of craft advice I can give -- I mean the advice that is universally applicable -- is that if you kill many other writers and eat their scribere gland (roughly the size of a black-eyed pea, so be careful not to damage it) then your prose will improve immensely

I used to use the NaNoWriMo website to track my progress while drafting or rewriting. Now, I use pacemaker.press. It’s WAY more customizable than NaNoWriMo’s tracker & can be used for more than just tracking word count on fiction projects, and displays progress as charts or graphs. #PretendPanel

seeing a book cover so poorly composed that it was surely made by someone who has somehow never looked at a book cover in their entire life is a breath of fresh air in this day & age the bar really is in the deepest pits of hell
