If I see an AI disclaimer on Steam, no matter how small the actual usage is, I simply don't buy the game, and add to the blacklist. Same result if you don't add a disclaimer and get caught. If you couldn't be bothered to make it, I can't be bothered to buy it.

the real problem with the term "euroshmup" is that it's redundant. we already had a perfectly fine term for games with great art and music and absurdly terrible gameplay, they're called "amiga games"

People want to play classic games but instead of actually going and playing them, they'll wait for some weird mockery remake of them. It's why I find phrases like "I hope they fix X and Y in Code Veronica!" stupid because, bro, that remake is going to be nothing like the original anyway.

Only reason I haven't bought the Kingdom Hearts bundle is because I'm not sure how much I want to support Square anymore. If they're going in on AI, I'd rather not be part of it. This is why I regret picking up FFVII Remake as I won't be finishing that trilogy.

Horror game idea: You're working at your job, and something is trying to kill you. Sometimes the customers you serve are creepy as well. Actually this is too good of an idea to speak about. Don't steal this idea.

I'm tired of retro YouTubers myself and I fucking am one. Tired of conspiracy clickbait bullshit, sloppy ai thumbnails, grifty shit content, fake fucks, constant hackery, overpriced shit treated like the 2nd coming, arrogant wankers with no fucking standards. I am tired.

Watching Vinesauce play Halo Campaign Evolved and holy shit this is dire. This looks like fucking shit from an ass and they seemingly replaced the dialog with tiktok tts. Absolute travesty, total fucking disaster, just kill off xbox and let it die

It being on by default means they've already got your content. Opting out doesn't stop all of it, and we're meant to trust it does anything in the first place. So they can just take everyone's content, including all of the videogame content, and do as they please. Hoping for lawsuits.

Twitch now uses your channel to train generative AI by default. You can opt out of some training here: www.twitch.tv/settings/sec...

Training for Generative AI

Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon. Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features that benefit the community by facilitating streamer growth and monetization (such as real-time sponsorship campaign assistance), viewer discovery (such as recommendations), and community safety (such as AutoMod). Devs seriously need to start having second thoughts about AI. You taint the entire project as soon as people see it. You get caught, start putting up BS disclaimers that boil down to "trust me, bro," and still wonder why people turned away from your game in disgust.

Sorry for overlooking the genAI usage in this one, everybody - Edwin got carried away by his enthusiasm for giant corpses. We'll find another giant corpse game to write about, soon enough.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

I think the sooner people become content with the games that have already released is for the better. It's clear there is no bright future regarding anything involving the major companies. It's dead, Jim. Ignore the slop and go play Ape Escape on PS1.

I fucking hate AI almost as much as I hate the sniveling asshole billionaires and shithole corporations who have all forced it into every conceivable spot in our lives. It literally makes everything worse and it makes us worse and I fucking hate it.

There are currently suits sitting around a desk, palms sweaty, trying to figure out how to convince people to pay 1k minimum for the next generation of games consoles.
