If I see an AI disclaimer on Steam, no matter how small the actual usage is, I simply don't buy the game, and add to the blacklist. Same result if you don't add a disclaimer and get caught. If you couldn't be bothered to make it, I can't be bothered to buy it.

the real problem with the term "euroshmup" is that it's redundant. we already had a perfectly fine term for games with great art and music and absurdly terrible gameplay, they're called "amiga games"
System 3 are trying really hard to convince people they didn't slop James Pond up
Remembering that Abe's Exodus remake that added crafting and fucking double jumping.

People want to play classic games but instead of actually going and playing them, they'll wait for some weird mockery remake of them. It's why I find phrases like "I hope they fix X and Y in Code Veronica!" stupid because, bro, that remake is going to be nothing like the original anyway.
Then it isn't a remake. It's a parody. Already wasn't touching it because of AI shit, but lmao. This franchise is cursed.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a remake of the first game, is getting RPG skill trees, crafting mechanics and a 'focus meter' www.eurogamer.net/tomb-raider-...
I sometimes wonder if my dislike of Donkey Kong is the same for how people dislike Sonic games.
Only reason I haven't bought the Kingdom Hearts bundle is because I'm not sure how much I want to support Square anymore. If they're going in on AI, I'd rather not be part of it. This is why I regret picking up FFVII Remake as I won't be finishing that trilogy.
Horror game idea: You're working at your job, and something is trying to kill you. Sometimes the customers you serve are creepy as well. Actually this is too good of an idea to speak about. Don't steal this idea.
I'm tired of retro YouTubers myself and I fucking am one. Tired of conspiracy clickbait bullshit, sloppy ai thumbnails, grifty shit content, fake fucks, constant hackery, overpriced shit treated like the 2nd coming, arrogant wankers with no fucking standards. I am tired.
Watching Vinesauce play Halo Campaign Evolved and holy shit this is dire. This looks like fucking shit from an ass and they seemingly replaced the dialog with tiktok tts. Absolute travesty, total fucking disaster, just kill off xbox and let it die
>If the option for "please steal my likeness and entire history of content" was opt-in, nobody would opt-in. Shocking
"If it was opt in, nobody would opt in" - Twitch explains why it's using streamers' content to train generative AI by default, meaning they have to manually opt out to stop it happening. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/if-it-w...
It being on by default means they've already got your content. Opting out doesn't stop all of it, and we're meant to trust it does anything in the first place. So they can just take everyone's content, including all of the videogame content, and do as they please. Hoping for lawsuits.
Twitch now uses your channel to train generative AI by default. You can opt out of some training here: www.twitch.tv/settings/sec...
Hey, indie devs, this is what happens when you try to sneak AI stuff onto Steam without disclosing it. Don't do that! It will completely destroy your reputation!
Devs seriously need to start having second thoughts about AI. You taint the entire project as soon as people see it. You get caught, start putting up BS disclaimers that boil down to "trust me, bro," and still wonder why people turned away from your game in disgust.
Sorry for overlooking the genAI usage in this one, everybody - Edwin got carried away by his enthusiasm for giant corpses. We'll find another giant corpse game to write about, soon enough.
"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!
I think the sooner people become content with the games that have already released is for the better. It's clear there is no bright future regarding anything involving the major companies. It's dead, Jim. Ignore the slop and go play Ape Escape on PS1.
You shouldn't listen to anything this company says. And besides, you actually need games before you can produce game discs.
Digital Foundry says sources have told them that Microsoft is planning to continue support for physical game discs with the aim of prioritizing backward compatibility. https://t.co/ezwZN66nTK
if it's layoffs on ship no matter what, never pay that company for anything. why would you. your money will never reach anyone who worked on what you bought, or respected those people. you'll not be investing in anything in any sense software is on the honour system and these people have no honour
Halo Studios Hit by Layoffs After Campaign Evolved Launch insider-gaming.com/halo-studios...
If you ever feel bad, just remember they tried remaking Halo 1 twice and failed.
Why does Truxton Extreme have meta-progression on its scoring? And why is it in the devil's aspect ratio?
Honestly starts to become comical how every dev wants to throw away all goodwill and taint their brands.

Talk enough trash and Palmer Luckey will follow you to Facebook and find your Nintendo 64 group
Hey if you talk enough sauce about ModRetro and Palmer Luckey you can catch a block from Duke Nukem person George Broussard
I fucking hate AI almost as much as I hate the sniveling asshole billionaires and shithole corporations who have all forced it into every conceivable spot in our lives. It literally makes everything worse and it makes us worse and I fucking hate it.
There are currently suits sitting around a desk, palms sweaty, trying to figure out how to convince people to pay 1k minimum for the next generation of games consoles.
