Carney’s legacy might be going to the mat for 1 (or 2) publicly funded oil pipelines + airport and failing to do the same for HSR. Hard to square with his climate finance background, unless he was far more interested in finance than climate.

Friendly reminder that to the extent these extreme climate events are ominous portents of things to come, they are also reality *today*, and will not only become more frequent but their nature will get more extreme as well.

I do not appreciate Carney, who’s been obscenely wealthy his entire adult life, lying about what one of the richest nations ever can and cannot afford. He’s just laundering his view that the incumbent oil sector must be protected for national unity at the expense of vulnerable people.

Among other things, if kids under 16 are especially susceptible to online misinformation that’s completely outweighed by their abject lack of power. QAnon isn’t mostly kids! The most dangerous conspiracy theories are spread and believed by adults!
