I do think its kind of undercovered how big the wind energy expansion is in Nova Scotia I think we have something like 2.8 GWs, and we're expecting to break ground on 1.2 GWs of onshore (some fraction of that in practice) by 2028 and calls for bids on leases up to 5 GWs starting this year

"Housing delayed is housing denied" isn't just a saying. There are carrying costs associated with delays. Non-profits don't have a lot of room in their budgets. So affordable units get reduced. If we're asking for more consultation, let's tell the public the price tag. In this case, $9 million.

Ive said this before but i thought we were making amazing progress on heatpumps and it turns out atlantic canada is simply a fiend for it. Like 48% of NB, 40% of NS, 40% of PEI and 9% for the country overall

Canada is in a place now where food that we grow here often gets shipped internationally for processing, before being shipped *back here* for purchase. That just doesn't make sense, especially when we're trying to cut back on transport emissions. Very glad to see some movement towards fixing this.
