Peggy's people-powered campaign just overcame an opponent backed by Chuck Schumer and establishment Democrats, and funded by crypto and corporate PACs. Voters want elected officials who will actually represent them!
If that "interest" is protecting our Democracy and the Constitution, it's certainly "an obvious conflict". But graft, self-dealing, insider trading, influence peddling, etc is exactly the sort of thing that is of interest to Trump and his cronies, and they don't seem at all conflicted.
