I defended my PhD last week!🍾🎉 I’m proud of the work I put into each of my projects. I’ve grown so much as a scientist thanks to guidance from my advisor and lab mates. Also, I was so excited that some of my close friends and parents were able to make it out to my defense! Thank you all!!
AI use is rampant but my feed is full of “[issue of the day] is why I don’t use it” posts and replies Now, I know that I curate my following and followers lists, but… something’s not adding up. Are folks simply overstating their aversion/abstinence for ‘likes’?

I adore you Leon, Egyptologist here, they were built by a largely volunteer force (corvée labor) of 25,000. The builders were very well fed, paid in bread and beer, and received excellent medical care. There was no slavery whatsoever, it is a common misconception.
