THE FASTEST GROWING HEAT PUMP MARKET IN THE WORLD: The UK heat pump market grew by 63% in 2024. As far as I know it is currently the fastest growing heat pump market in the world.
Great idea. Installers definitely need to be prepared to run the tech at home if they are to honestly advocate for it when they install it.

Here's an old anti car advert by a horse carriage company. History now repeats itself with countless scare stories about renewables, heat pumps & electric vehicles.

Really important to avoid an expensive stranded asset. Setting dates for when the gas is switched off for areas seems sensible and ensuring this is well communicated and people get the support needed to get off gas.

EVs cannot come soon enough. Walking the kids to school today the stink of diesel engines working hard to warm up was pretty awful. Extra points as usual to the parents idling them outside the school gates.
Once EVs and standing charge is removed, mine will be very close to zero this year.

Portugal – which closed its last coal-fired power station in 2021, three years ahead of Britain – generated over 70% of electricity from renewables in 2024. No nuclear either!

Ever seen an LCOE for Hinckley including full decommissioning and future waste management costs? No, neither have I. Doubtless the taxpayer will pick up the tab. How do you price in 1000yrs+ waste management costs?
