My rather small solar 🌞 power system (2.1 kW) had its most productive month yet in July 2026, despite the heat and the dust! 342 kWh of zero-carbon energy generated. We used 104 kWh ourselves and exported the rest to our neighbours, meaning less gas-fired generation was needed.

Key point: climate change is caused by burning fossil fuels. It's burning fossil fuels that is making heat waves hotter and more frequent. We need to stop burning fossil fuels (and that includes leaving them in the ground)

Human-induced climate change made the extreme fire weather that fuelled the recent destructive wildfires at least twice as likely in France and at least 20 times more likely in Spain, according to our new study.

As an EV driver I do sympathise with people who can't afford or can't charge an electric car. But for people who live in the 70% of homes with private off-road parking and have bought a new petrol or diesel car in the last 5 years or so... What were you thinking?
